On Latinidad

LATINIDAD… what is it? And who is it really for? For those who belong to its core or identify with it, it can mean power and representation. But for those who exist in the margins of Latinidad, it can mean ostracism and misrepresentation. At the end of the day, Latinidad is just another social and economically engineered category, a brand name unifier for a population of diverse people whose only common denominator is having been the subjects of colonization.
