Impromptu Guess That Organism Contest!

Good morning lovely people!

After spending some time sequestered working on this piece, I am very happy to finally release it for all you to see. So to celebrate, let’s have ourselves an impromptu surprise contest!

 

Details

The above image is based on an actual location and contains flora (plant life) and fungi from that particular geography. Your task is simple: name three (3) of the flora or fungi pictured in the foreground AND the geographic region where they are from. Common names or scientific names are acceptable. HINT: They are somewhere in North America. Because some folx are having trouble seeing the plants, here’s a more detailed view.

 

Rules

• I will pick three (3) winners based on the following criteria:
  • First to have successfully completed and submitted the form below.
  • Must have identified three (3) of the flora or fungi pictured in the image.
  • Must have identified the geographic region where these living things are found.

• If there are more than three (entries) that meet all the criteria, I will conduct a random lottery performed at date to be announced and in the following manner:
  • Names will be written on pieces of paper, folded, and placed into a bowl.
  • Winners will be chosen at random. Event will be recorded and posted on the platform.
  • Angie will be on hand to ensure transparency and veracity.

• Form must be submitted by Sunday, January 20th at 11:59PM Pacific Standard Time.

Exceptions

• If you’re a close friend and I’ve already told you about the image, you are ineligible!

Solution:

Good afternoon everyone! Here is the solution to the “Impromptu Guess That Organism Contest!” As y’all can see they are plants and fungi from the Pacific Northwest. So why are there Central American birds in the Pacific Northwest? Because yours truly will be at the University of Oregon at Eugene for a special event which I will be announcing in the next couple of days.
