San Romero en el Paraíso Contest

Hello lovely people!

It is once again time for another impromptu Dichos de un bicho contest to commemorate the release of my new artwork honoring San Romero, titled San Romero en el paraíso. And just like the previous contest, this is not meant to be easy. I want you to observe, analyze, reflect, and give me your interpretations of what you see in the image. Bear in mind that some imagery serves the purpose of setting, other imagery serves to portray meaning.

Hint: There is nothing that San Romero loved more than his people. So think of who as of right now would join him in paradise.

Questions

Here are the three questions you must respond to:

1.) Different groups of Salvadorans represented in the image. What are some Salvadoran populations who have joined San Romero in paradise? Name at least (3).

2.) Who are the three (3) mythical figures depicted along the river?

3.) How many different Salvadoran objects, figures, and animals do you see? Identify at least (5) using their Salvadoran Spanish/Caliche names.

Bonus Questions – Answering either one correctly will eliminate an incorrect answer above

Bonus #1: There is one (1) person in the image who represents a group of Salvadorans San Romero never got to meet, but would nonetheless merit his love. Who is it and whom do they represent?

Bonus #2: There is one (1) animal depicted in the image that bears a special relation to San Romero. Which animal is it and how is it related?

Rules

• I will pick three (2) winners based on the following criteria:
  • First to have successfully completed and submitted the form below.
  • Must have identified at least three (3) Salvadoran populations
  • Must have identified three (3) Salvadoran mythical figures
  • Must have identified at least five (5) Salvadoran icons using their caliche names
  • If primary response are incorrect, bonus questions with correct responses will come into play.
  • If all entries do not meet the criteria above, then entries with the MOST correct answers will be selected.

• If there are more than three (entries) that meet all the criteria, I will conduct a random lottery performed at date to be announced and in the following manner:
  • Names will be written on pieces of paper, folded, and placed into a bowl.
  • Winners will be chosen at random. Event will be recorded and posted on the platform.
  • Angie will be on hand to ensure transparency and veracity.

• Form must be submitted by Sunday, April 7th at 11:59PM Pacific Standard Time.
